Ingredients
2 servings
- 1 lb chicken wings
- 0.5 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp garlic salt (alternative: 1/2 tsp kosher salt plus 1/2 tsp granulated garlic)
Quantities marked "to taste" or without a fixed amount don't scale with servings.
Instructions
- Carefully dry chicken wings with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, combine wings with baking powder and salt and toss until thoroughly and evenly coated.
- Place wings on the air fryer rack, leaving a slight space between each wing.
- (Optional) For the crispiest wings, place the rack with wings on a baking sheet in the refrigerator and allow it to rest, uncovered, for at least 8 hours and up to 24 hours.
- Place the air fryer rack with wings in the air fryer.
- Set the temperature to 410°F and the time to 25 minutes.
- When the timer is finished, check your wings for doneness. They should be deep golden brown. If not, cook for an additional 3 minutes until done.
- Carefully remove the wings to a plate and serve immediately.
- If tossing in a sauce, let rest for about 5 minutes to help retain crispiness.
